About the Hackathon
The 2025 MDC North Women’s Tech Pioneers Hackathon is an empowering, innovation-driven event designed to inspire women in technology. Hosted at Miami Dade College – North Campus, this hackathon fosters creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving in the tech industry. Participants will have the opportunity to build impactful projects, network with industry professionals, and gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies.
What makes this hackathon special?
A Celebration of Women in Tech – This event highlights the achievements, creativity, and leadership of women in STEM.
Collaborative & Supportive Environment – Participants will be surrounded by mentors, industry leaders, and peers who uplift and inspire.
Hands-On Learning – Workshops and mentorship sessions will help participants gain new skills in cutting-edge technologies.
Inclusive & Diverse – Open to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced coders, fostering a welcoming environment for growth.
Event Schedule
9:00 – 9:30 AM | Check-in & Breakfast
- Participants arrive and check in.
- Breakfast will be available.
9:30 – 10:00 AM | Opening Session
- Welcome and overview of the day's agenda.
- Ice-breaker activities, team registrations, and challenge selections.
10:00 – 12:00 PM | Workshops
- Hands-on sessions to introduce key technologies and tools.
1:00 PM – 4:00 PM | Team Project Development
- Teams collaborate to create innovative solutions.
- Focus on Innovation, Technical Implementation, and Impact for their final presentations.
- Refreshments available throughout the day.
4:00 – 5:00 PM | Finale & Presentations
- Teams present their projects (6-minute presentations).
- A panel of tech professionals will evaluate the work.
5:00 – 5:30 PM | Awards & Closing Ceremony
- Winners announced and prizes awarded.
- Recognition of all participants and mentors.
