This is a Hackathon for students, teachers, journalists and technologists to tear apart the Yahoo! News Feed dataset! This includes demographic breakdowns (age, gender, and location) and user-device interaction data. The data spans several Yahoo! properties, including the Yahoo! Homepage, Yahoo! News, and Yahoo! Sports. Your challenge will be to tease through the data to find and tell stories about consumption habits. As a follow-up to the News Corp and voxgov hackathons, the Yahoo! Hack will help showcase the interplay between journalism and data science, and how new innovations can broaden our perspective of how we consume news!
