Esri is excited to announce our annual intern hackathon: The Weekend of Innovation. The summer interns will form teams of 4 to 5 to solve interesting real-world problems using GIS. The solutions illustrate how effective it is to use ArcGIS to address real problems using location analytics. This event gives the participants an opportunity to be creative and present their idea to their Esri colleagues.
Friday, July 26, 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Saturday, July 27, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Sunday, July 28, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Hacking ends (code freeze) Sunday at 12:00 PM. Each team presents their project on Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Redlands - Esri Café. Video conference for remote team participation.
Fun games with prizes will be conducted throughout the event.
Meals and snacks will be provided during hackathon hours.
• Bring your Esri or personal laptop. (We can provide laptops, but we need to know in advance if you need a computer.)
• Bring your own device (phone/tablet) to test apps (if required).
• The cafe is an open workspace – bring headphones, etc.
• There will not be access to other Esri buildings during the event.
• Mentors with expertise in GIS, development (APIs and SDKs), and the ArcGIS platform will be available to answer questions and help troubleshoot problems. However, they won’t be writing any code – that part will be up to you.
