SteemFest Blockchain Hack

On 1/2/3/4/5 November SteemFest² is happening in Lisbon. As part of this event the SteemFest hackathon takes place on November 1st. We challenge you to make a proof of concept, working(!) app on (any) blockchain.

Be smart and check out the prize-sponsors below (Steem, Decent, Bitshares) and pick on or combine some of those chains to be relevant and get a change to win those cryptomonetary prizes!

Wednesday November 1st - 24 hour hack session @ Silver Room , Cowork Lisboa, LX Factory 

We have reserved a dedicated hackerspace in the inspirational LX Factory (Cowork Lisboa's SilverRoom) for you where you can stay 24 hours (until 2 November 11 AM) to work on your concept. We have arranged lunch, dinner, breakfast and enough f&b to keep you happy & active. There are some couches in Cowork Lisboa so you could try to crash a bit for a nap. Additionally if you really need to sleep, check the neighbouring Dorm Hostel.

On 31st October we will have some informal pre-hackathon drinks. Location & time to be announced to participants.

Friday November 3rd - Pitch your app @ SteemFest - Conference Day 2, Montes Claros

Pitches including demo's take place on Friday November 3rd (conference day 2 of SteemFest) where you will get 5 minutes to pitch & demo your Proof of Concept app to a jury and all SteemFest attendees. After the presentation there will be a short awardshow and a drink. At night you are welcome to celebrate and decompress at 'A Night of Steem' in Suspenso (former Santiago Alquimista - Rua do Santiago 19 - Castello). 

You are encouraged to form teams, it's more fun! If you don't have a team, you are welcome to introduce yourself on stage in the morning of November 1st to pitch yourself :).

SteemFest Hackathon - Focus Chains - Prize Sponsors

Three different, graphene/chainbase based blockchains are participating as prize-sponsor partners and we challenge you to build a app running on their chains. Be smart, spread your bets and try to make apps where you utilise and combine the chains unique features into a new app.

  Steem - decentralised social media platform where anyone can earn rewards by blogging and curating blogs. Make a compelling app for Steem users. Find inspiration for already built apps on SteemTools.com

  Bitshares - decentralised banking & (crypto) exchange platform. Make a compelling app for Bitshares users. For example a portfolio viewer or a market making trading bot. Or come up with any of your own ideas, for example by utilising User Issued Assets (your own tokens).

  DECENT - decentralised content distribution. Make a compelling app to integrate DECENT into the World of Text Media.
