The Michigan Office of Defense & Aerospace Innovation (ODAI) invites undergraduate students to the 2025 MiSpace Hackathon. The focus problem for this year’s hackathon is Detecting, Monitoring and Characterizing Ice formations on the Great Lakes. Ice formation presents a significant economic challenge to commerce on the Great Lakes as it can prohibit open trade routes for all types of maritime operations. This is an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students in Michigan to come together and create groundbreaking solutions for overcoming the impacts of ice on Great Lakes operations.
