HEX

HEX is an event in which 300+ people from all over the world
meet for 32 hours to engage in collaborative design thinking.

HEX started in 2017 as a non-profit organization, creating one of the biggest hackathons in the Netherlands. Situated in top technology region Brainport Eindhoven as an optimal breeding place for innovation, we created a unique combination between the high-tech companies, the government and students.

With a team of up to five people, you have to come up with the most creative solution to one of our 10 tracks. And that in just 32 hours! All challenges consider the theme “2050”. You are free to choose between the challenges. We have invited inspiring mentors that will assist you and your team in every part of the creation process. Take a break from working is possible by joining one of the various leisure activities, which are, by the way, a great way to meet new people and have a good time. To finish it off: the winners will not go home empty handed – our sponsors provide great prizes!

There are some things
you just cannot learn in a classroom.

That’s why we created HEX: a hackathon which highlights self-development as one of the three key factors of innovation, next to creativity and collaboration.

Participating in the event is completely free. We will provide you with food, drinks, and a decent working place. We’re happy to invite you as an individual or as a team. If you come alone, we’ll help you with finding a team – you won’t be the only one! Everyone has to register individually. All kinds of skills are welcome, ranging from programmers to designers to marketers; the most important skill to have is enthusiasm and creativity.
