Hack the Bias

beginnersocial
Location: In-person

About the challenge

Despite advancements in technology and policy, bias remains deeply embedded in many aspects of society, from AI algorithms and hiring practices to urban planning and healthcare accessibility. These biases disproportionately impact marginalized communities, limiting opportunities and reinforcing systemic inequities.

At Hack the Bias: Innovate for Inclusion, we challenge participants to develop solutions that promote fairness, sustainability, and accessibility for all. How can we leverage technology—AI, data science, XR, or other innovations—to mitigate bias in decision-making, ensure equitable resource distribution, and create inclusive experiences?

Whether it's addressing algorithmic bias, improving access to essential services, or designing more inclusive digital and physical environments, your solution should contribute to a world where everyone has equal opportunities to thrive.
