Hackatoge is a 24-hour hackathon event that provides a platform for college students to showcase their programming and development skills. The event is structured around three different domains: Web Development, App Development, and UI/UX Design.
Participants can choose to compete in one or more of these domains, depending on their interests and expertise. Throughout the event, participants will have access to mentor sessions to help them refine their skills and overcome any challenges they may encounter. These mentors are experienced professionals in the tech industry, providing invaluable insights and guidance to the participants.
One of the unique features of Hackatoge is the presence of sabotages. These sabotages are designed to test the participant's ability to work under pressure and think on their feet. They may include sudden changes to the requirements or constraints of a project, unexpected technical issues, or other surprises that participants will need to overcome. The sabotages add an exciting and challenging element to the hackathon, making it an even more rewarding experience for the participants.
In the web development domain, participants will be tasked with building web-based applications. This domain requires a solid understanding of front-end and back-end development, as well as familiarity with popular web development frameworks such as React or Angular. Participants will also need to pay close attention to UI/UX design, ensuring that their application is user-friendly and visually appealing.
The app development domain focuses on building mobile applications. Participants will need to have a good understanding of different operating systems, programming languages, and tools required to create a high-quality mobile app. They will also need to consider UI/UX design, ensuring that their app is easy to navigate and provides a seamless user experience.
Finally, the UI/UX design domain is all about creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for a given product. Participants will need to have a keen eye for design, as well as an understanding of user psychology and behaviour. They will need to consider the user's needs, ensuring that the interface is intuitive and easy to navigate.
