Hey! Cypher VI has been postponed till Fall 2020. But that ain't stopping us from hacking and having a good time. So here's Cypher V½, because Roman numerals worked like that, right? Let's make things - anything! - and learn and experiment and celebrate each other's talents.
This is an online hackathon - just make something by April 30, throw it up on Devpost, and submit it. Submit anything you want - it doesn't have to work, it doesn't have to be flashy, it doesn't even have to use code. It can even be something you've made in the past but never got to show off!
Multiple submissions per hacker are allowed, too.
Need help? Hit up W&M's ACM chapter's Slack channel at http://wmacm.slack.com. Check out the #help_me channel if you need help or if you can give help.
Is it a competition? Naaaaaaah. No prizes, so if you're into that, sorry. But real actual adult mentors will be popping in near the end of the event to check out all the cool stuff you make and celebrate all of your hard work!
And be sure to swing by October 23-25 for the real thing! Check http://cypher.cs.wm.edu for updates - hope to see you there!
