FAQ What’s a hackathon? A hackathon is a collaborative event where individuals come together to solve real-life problems, develop innovative ideas, and build projects within a short time frame. Will BC Hacks 2024 be in-person or Virtual? This will be an in-person event, but you are not required to stay for the whole day. We will provide meals and snacks throughout the day. However, if you are presenting your project, you are required to attend during the afternoon on June 9th. Do I have to be a BC student to register/join? No, we accept all students from high schools, community colleges, and universities. You are required to fill out the waiver if you’re not a BC student. How much coding experience do I need to have? You do not need to have any prior coding experience. We are welcoming students of all experience, skill levels, and expertise. Cost to join? There are no cost to join our Hackathon. We will provide wifi networks, meals, and space free for all Hackers. Where the event is being held? BC Hacks 2024 will be held at Bellevue College’s U Building room 301. There are parking lots around the building. Make sure to promo code for free parking is ABASXR. Team size and formation? Each team must include 3-4 members. You can form your team before the event or join the team formation session that will be held on the morning of the first day of the event. What to bring?
