About the challenge Welcome to our 5th annual hackathon! The annual MHS hackathon is very well-known as a fun, competitive event! If you've never competed in a hackathon before, this is a great introduction to the fun of problem-solving in STEM fields. While this hackathon is more tailored towards computer science-related problems and submissions, those of you from other pathways should not feel intimidated! Everyone is able to help with their individual project regardless of pathway or skillset. Prompts: Choose only one: - Since it's earth day, how can we encourage people to make the world a healthier and happier place to live in? - Make an application that best utilizes language learning models (ChatGPT, Google Bard, etc.) Schedule (SUBJECT TO CHANGES!) Saturday April 22nd 9:30am - Doors open, check-in, make teams, set up equipment 10:00am - Competition starts, announce prompt, begin workshop 12:00-12:30pm - Lunch from Chick-Fil-A 2:00pm - Guest Speaker 1 4:00pm - Guest Speaker 2 6:00-6:30pm - Dinner from CiCi’s 9:00 pm - 12:00 am CTF & Coding Competition Sunday April 23rd 12:00am - Karaoke Night 3:00am - Rock Paper Scissors tournament 7:30 am - Breakfast from Taco Cabana 10:00 am - Foosball Tournament 11:00am - Competition submission deadline 11:30-12:00pm - Lunch from Jason’s Deli 12:00pm - 3:00pm Student Presentations 3:30pm - Announce results and distribute prizes. Students may leave.
